Carina Hernández Díaz

Carina is a visual artist and creative process facilitator whose work explores nature, biodiversity, and territory through an ecofeminist lens, with a particular focus on the marine world. She needed a bilingual portfolio site that would let her vibrant, colourful work take centre stage while reflecting her personal, grounded approach to art.

Design — A bold, minimalist approach built around a single typeface, Gabriela, set in a soft pink against a black background. This restrained palette creates a striking frame for Carina's colourful paintings and mural work, letting each image carry its own energy without competition from the design around it. The consistent typography throughout gives the site a calm, cohesive rhythm that mirrors her own artistic voice.

Development — Built with Kirby CMS, with full bilingual support across English and Spanish. The structure makes it easy for Carina to manage her growing body of work – paintings, murals, and collaborative projects – while keeping navigation simple for visitors browsing in either language.

Results — A confident, image-led online presence that puts Carina's work front and centre. The bold visual identity reflects the spirit of her practice – colourful, grounded, and deeply connected to nature and community – while giving her a professional space to share her art and ongoing projects with a wider, international audience.
