Francisco de la Mora
Francisco de la Mora is a comics creator whose work spans single-page strips to full graphic novels, both as sole author and in collaboration with illustrators from around the world. His output ranges from the eight-volume Brief History of Mexico to a monthly visual column drawn for the Hackney Citizen since January 2018. He needed a portfolio site that could organise this varied body of work clearly, without distracting from it.
Design — A simple, clean layout on a white background lets the artwork carry the site. With comics spanning so many formats and styles, the design stays deliberately neutral – plenty of space, minimal decoration – so each project reads on its own terms.
Development — Built with Kirby CMS, with projects organised into clear categories: Graphic Novels, the long-running Hackney Citizen column, Short Comics, and Other Projects. This structure makes it easy to browse by type of work, and just as easy for Francisco to add new pieces as his output grows.
Results — A straightforward, well-organised showcase that reflects the breadth of Francisco's practice – from long-form narrative work to ongoing editorial illustration – giving visitors, publishers, and collaborators a clear view of his range and a simple way to explore it.
